         3. Firmware Anomalies, Restrictions, and Workarounds

         The ECU utility is intermittent when run from the advanced mode of
         console. The utility will load and appear to function but will
         exhibit an intermittent hang when attempting to add a new device. 
         Run the utilty from diagnostic mode. For example:

               P00>>>set mo diag
               Console is in diagnostic mode
               P00>>>configure dev *
               P00>>>runecu

         Do NOT attempt to update console firmware to a lower revision
         than shown below.  Installing a revision of firmware below
         the minimum required will render the CPU module INOPERABLE.
         In SOME cases, the Loadable Firmware Update utility will
         not allow the update, if attempted, and would give an error
